Welcome to SNMOTV

Special Needs Met on the Vertical is a site for special needs parents, grandparents, caregivers, and more. SNMOTV shares resources, information, encouragement, and hope during such trying times.

I understand what it is like to be an overwhelmed and depressed mother of a special needs child. I found my answer through prayer. I want to share with you what I have learned and how I have persevered through trials and triumphs.

Special needs parenting requires us to have a different mindset. Caring for our children takes a special heart of patience and love. I have experienced depression, sleepless nights, and warfare, so I am here to tell you that you are not alone. If you want to connect with others, I encourage you to join my Facebook community.

Thank you so much for visiting. I’m so glad you are here.

Every Need Is Met On The Vertical

Hello, I'm Rachetta. I want to share with you my story, tools and resources that encouraged and assisted me in those moments when the uncertainties of this world seemed to rest so heavily on my shoulders, heart and mind.

Have you ever heard the statement “prayers go up and blessings come down?” This is considered a “vertical” transaction. As a special needs mom, I knew in my heart that God would answer my prayers On the Vertical.

We were not created to carry such heavy burdens and special needs alone. We have to rely on our vertical transactions, so that God can hear and answer our prayers and needs.

A Life Line to Heaven

  • Encouragement

Psalm 121:1-2 - I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

  • Patience

Colossians 3:12 - Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.

  • Wisdom

Timothy 3:16-17 - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

  • Forgiveness

Micah 7:18 - Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy
